Prior training and experience:
Barbara L. Robinson, M.D. joined the Georgia Health Sciences University, Obstetrics and Gynecology faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Section in August 2012. She received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University in 1997 where she completed the U.S. Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps and was honored as the Distinguished Military Graduate.
She subsequently completed four years in the U.S. Army as an Environmental Science Officer. Upon honorable discharge as an Army Captain, Dr. Robinson completed her medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2005. She then went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Dr. Robinson’s professional interests include prolapse and incontinence, robotic surgery, and sacroneuromodulation.
