Basic Life Support (BLS) Course
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The BLS course is intended for certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.
This course is available for healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, nurses, and respiratory therapists who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a BLS course.
Course Length:
One session, 4 hours
Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certification card valid for two years.

Healthcare Provider BLS Student Manual. Fee does not include the cost of the manual.
Fees:
Courses will be free for all the Georgia Health Sciences Medical Center employees.
All courses are open to the public.
