Neurocritical Care Specialists at Georgia Regents Neuroscience Center

The Neurocritical Care Unit is staffed by a highly specialized team of neurologists, neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, nurse practitioners, and critical care nurses. A neurointensivist, which is a neurocritical care specialist that participates in the care of each critical care patient, works with the neurology team to stabilize and oversee the condition of each patient.

As a regional referral center, the Georgia Regents Neuroscience Center of Excellence offers a team of skilled neurologists and neurosurgeons who diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological disorders in children and adults. In addition to the Georgia Regents Neuroscience Center team, patients have access to a multidisciplinary group of specialists including:

• Occupational, speech, and/or physical therapy
• Psychiatrist or Neuropsychologist
• Nutritionist
• Social Worker
• Neurological Pharmacologist
