Central Canal
The spinal cord has a tiny Central canal that normally contains a droplet of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). The lining of this Central canal is called Ependyma. Enlargement of this Central canal is called a syrinx. This pathologic condition is called Syringomyelia.
