Black History Month

Frank Yerby was the first black best-selling author. In fact, it is estimated that he sold more books than all other African American writers combined. He was a master storyteller who had three of his 33 novels made into movies. He was inducted into the Georgia Writers Hall of Fame in 2006, 15 years after his death.
