Black History Month

In 1975, Dr. Julius Scott, Jr. became the first President of Paine College to have earned a doctorate degree. Under him, the college experienced unprecedented growth. He also became the first black to head Georgia Health Sciences University as Interim President from February to June 2001, after which he became Special Assistant to the President for Diversity Initiatives until June 2003.
