Vaccine Vital for Reducing Chickenpox

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that the chickenpox vaccine can reduce cases of the disease by 80 percent. The highly contagious virus often strikes children before age 10, causing five to 10 days of rashes, fever and fatigue. Half of the country's states have made the chickenpox vaccination mandatory for children entering schools and day-care facilities.
